Cooking Matters // begins MON AUG 7 @ 7PM // main hall // Do you want to learn to cook healthy meals for yourself or your family on a budget? In this six-week course you will:
- Cook
nutritious and delicious food on a budget
- Get
a free bag of groceries each week
- Discuss
nutrition concepts and work with chefs to prepare healthy meals
- Take
a trip to the grocery store to learn to shop for healthy and affordable food
- Meet
your neighbors in class
and share ideas for making small changes toward a healthier life

Cooking for The Table // AUG 10, 24 & 31 // main hall // The Table is a lot of things: a hot meal, a meeting place, a supply depot. And it's an extension of our communion table. As Sara Miles writes, "To feed others means acknowledging our own hunger and at the same time acknowledging the amazing abundance we're fed with by God." Wanna have a spiritual epiphany like that?
