Dear Hot Metallers,
This week begins a series of weeks hearing snippets from one of Jesus’ most famous sermons, the Sermon on the Mount. In Matthew 5:1-12, Jesus kicks right off with a series of blessings (called the Beatitudes), where he blesses precisely the people that the rest of the world wrote off – the meek, the merciful, the peacemakers. Jesus invites us to imagine what the world would look like if our priorities and values were shifted. We’ll imagine what and who needs blessing today, and how the Body of Christ can be the place where the values and priorities of God are made just a little clearer in this world.
As always, we’ll gather in song and prayer and around a Table, where we get a literal taste of God’s vision for a world turned upside down.

"What the Health?" Bible Study
You are invited to join a bi-monthly Bible Study for women that dives into what the Bible says about the impact of emotional injuries on our physical bodies.
