Holy Week & Beyond
MealTrain for Sherri Lynn // MARCH 28 // South Side // Sherri Lynn is recovering from knee surgery and returned home from rehabilitation on Friday. She and her husband John could really use some meals while she's healing up, especially on weekends when he is working. They live right around the corner from HMBFC. Click here for details and to sign up. Email annettesan@yahoo.com.

Good Friday: Barabbas Re-imagined // FRI MAR 30 @ 7PM // main hall // Come experience the good of Good Friday through the eyes of Barabbas as he encounters Jesus in his life in unexpected ways and unexpected places. Join us for this narrative worship experience as we imagine what life might have been like for Barabbas and what the cross really represented in his life.

Easter Egg Hunt // SUN APR 1 @ 9:45am // patio // Fun Easter egg hunt for toddlers and kids up to fifth grade on the patio!

Easter Worship Gathering // SUN APR 1 @ 10:30AM // main hall // Easter Sunday is the biggest day in the Christian year so we are going big with a big band and a big sound to celebrate the resurrection life! Note: there will not be a lunch following the service.

Sign-a-thon// SAT APR 7 12-4PM // The Mall at Robinson // Hundreds of folks from the Pittsburgh Deaf community will attend this year's Sign-a-thon for entertainment and fellowship. HMBFC will have a booth to let folks know about our interpreted worship gathering. Will you take a shift to represent our community to people who might find a spiritual home at HMBFC? No ASL required - we've requested an interpreter. Email mike@hotmetalbridge to sign up.

A Day with Brian McLaren // WED APR 25 // Pittsburgh Theological Seminary // FREE // McLaren's book A New Kind of Christian was a big influence on HMBFC in the early days. He continues to be an important and prophetic voice for the church today. A former college English teacher and pastor, he is a passionate advocate for “a new kind of Christianity” – just, generous, and working with people of all faiths for the common good. He has been a prophetic forerunner in starting new worshiping communities for the last 15 years and continues to be a voice that gently and yet firmly calls the 21st Century church to faithful incarnation of the Gospel in its ever-changing local contexts.
