Our community chooses its own leaders to take responsibility for certain
roles. We use a Nominations Committee to organize the process of
discernment and to make it open, participatory, and inclusive. Here's
how it works:
1. Nominate. From now until October 23, anyone can nominate someone for one or more of our four leadership teams. You can even nominate yourself!
2. Discern. The nominating committee will consist of 3 people chosen by Council plus the pastors. They will review the nominations before announcing a final list of candidates in November.
3. Affirm. The congregation will have the opportunity to affirm the new leadership candidates at the all-church meeting on November 15.
4. Ordain. New elders (for Council & Finance) and deacons (for Compassion Team) will be ordained at the all-church meeting. These leaders serve three-year terms.
