Subject: Friend - We "cancelled" our newsletter for this good news!🤸🤸

Dear friend,

We planned a newsletter on the topic End of Year Prize Giving - Should You or Shouldn't You? but that had to be assigned a place on our website as a blog post because we have much more exciting news to share:

We have not one, but THREE new Footprints packages now available to buy in our online shop:

Footprints - The Last Century for ages 10-14

Voetspore 2 - Die Laaste Eeu for ages 10-14

Natuurskattejag 2 for ages 10-16

For those familiar with Voetspore 1, in the sequel, we have now separated the history and nature study into the above two Afrikaans programmes. It was a last minute decision, although the idea had been brewing for some time!
Why? The reasons are many:

  • To avoid confusion we wanted both the English version of Footprints - The Last Century and the Afrikaans Voetspore 2 - Die Laaste Eeu to be the same - history only.

  • Secondly, we have fleshed out the nature section to make it a stand-alone programme, like the English counterpart, Footprints Nature Quest.

  • It's more practical to have separate curriculum guides for each programme to avoid flipping back and forth within the same book to get to the different subjects.

  • A combined manual would have been too thick for wire binding and this would cause the pages to become damaged more easily.

  • Some people only want history or only want natural sciences - now they aren't forced to buy both.

As curriculum authors, we have both learned so much and grown through the process of creating these programmes. We are confident that like our customers say, you will be "blown away" by the fresh approach to learning about South Africa through this amazing literature.

"I was blown away." - Donna

Nature Study Focus for November

Last month was large mammals and this month, well, it's small mammals. And this month's challenge is perfect for city dwellers....

One of the statements we often hear from parents is: "Where I live (meaning flat, townhouse or built up area) there is no nature to study.Last month the theme was large mammals, this month, its small mammals...quite manageable even if you live in a city. Read Nature Study in Towns and Cities
