Three New KYDEX® Sheets.
Built to Impress.

We have expanded our infused KYDEX® lineup with three new sheets that push the boundaries of pattern, depth, and finish. Whether you are building for the field, the range, or the display case, these materials are ready to perform.

KYDEX® LIQUID METAL — ALUMINUM

Diamond Plate
Aluminum — Infused

Our exclusive Aluminum Diamond Plate pattern arrives on KYDEX® Liquid Metal sheet, produced through our precision digital infusion process. The graphic is thermally bonded into the top layer of the sheet, not printed on top of it. This means the pattern retains the full texture depth and dimensional integrity of the base material through and after forming.

The pattern itself reproduces the classic tread-plate design familiar to anyone who has worked around trucks, tool boxes, ramps, and trailers — a field of elongated diamond shapes pressed flat into the surface in repeating rows. On the Liquid Metal finish, those flat diamond shapes catch and reflect light from different angles, creating a shifting metallic appearance that reads as industrial and purposeful. This is a sheet that looks exactly like what it is: tough, functional, and well-made.

Ideal for holsters, knife sheaths, and gear builds where a rugged, mechanical aesthetic is part of the design intent. The .080 gauge provides excellent rigidity and forming characteristics on standard KYDEX® tooling.

KYDEX® LIQUID METAL — ROSE GOLD

Diamond Plate
Rose Gold — Infused

The same proven Diamond Plate tread pattern, now laid into a Rose Gold Liquid Metal base. The warm, blush-toned metallic finish transforms a pattern rooted in industrial utility into something with a distinctly refined edge. Where the Aluminum version reads as raw and mechanical, the Rose Gold version commands attention with a warm, luminous quality that sets custom builds apart.

As with all of our infused sheets, the graphic is thermally bonded directly into the top layer of the KYDEX® rather than applied as an overlay. The result is a pattern with no edge lifting, no delamination risk, and no loss of the original sheet texture or dimensions. The flat diamond shapes of the tread pattern reflect the Rose Gold Liquid Metal finish at varying intensities depending on the angle of light, producing a dynamic, shifting metallic effect that is genuinely unlike anything else on the market.

A natural choice for custom holster builds, knife sheaths, and EDC carriers where the goal is a finish that is both distinctive and durable. Works on all standard KYDEX® forming equipment.

KYDEX® — DESERT TAN

Leather Emboss
Revolver — Desert Tan

The Leather Emboss Revolver pattern pays direct tribute to the tradition of hand-tooled Western leatherwork. The design features interlocking scrollwork and flowing acanthus vines, detailed oak leaf clusters, small acorns nestled into the foliage, and bold revolver cylinder medallions anchoring the repeating motif. It is a dense, intricate pattern that rewards close inspection — and on a Desert Tan base, it reads with the warmth and character of genuine tooled leather.

Our digital infusion process thermally bonds the graphic directly into the top layer of the KYDEX® sheet, preserving the original cell/smooth texture beneath the pattern. That preserved texture creates subtle depth behind the graphic, giving the finished sheet an appearance far more dimensional than a flat print. Up close, the tooled leather effect is convincing. From a distance, the pattern reads with unmistakable Western craft heritage.

This sheet is purpose-built for craftsmen who want their KYDEX® work to carry the look of traditional leather artistry without sacrificing the performance advantages of thermoform construction. Outstanding for western-style holsters, belt slides, knife sheaths, and custom carry rigs. Pairs naturally with leather-wrapped hardware and earthy thread colors.

From the Bench at HolsterSmith

We built HolsterSmith.com around a simple premise: the craftsman deserves better materials. Not just sheets that hold their shape and form cleanly — though ours do — but sheets that mean something when they come out of the press. Every pattern we develop, every infusion process we refine, every new finish we bring to market is driven by the same question: what would a serious maker actually want on the bench?

These three new sheets are the answer to that question for this season. Whether you are running production on a custom shop order, building a one-off for a client who wants something nobody else has, or working through your first holster as a hobbyist with high standards — we want your work to represent you. Good materials make that possible.

Thank you for being part of this community. We will keep building, keep sourcing, and keep releasing materials worth your time. All three of these new sheets are in stock now at HolsterSmith.com. As always, if you have questions about materials, forming, or compatibility with your current setup, reach out. We are here to help you build something great.

Build the Best,
