Today ladies and gentlemen it is rant time… Because guess what, when it comes to starting your own online coaching business it is is not all sunshine and rainbows.

Recently I came across a few influencers (whose names I won’t mention) that seem to promise the world to you in order to take your money and get you to join their programme (whatever programme it may be).

“With our programme, you don’t need to run ads, do sales calls, do any cold outreach, or even post consistently”

​

As if the client will just hand over the money with you literally putting in NO effort??? You know what they say… if it's too good to be true, it usually is…

So what is the truth?

Well if you’re starting out an online coaching business you just need to focus on 2 things.

​

1.Social Media - You have to consistently speak to your target avatar. Don’t worry about views or likes. Focus on providing real value to just 1 person.

If you are niche (which you should be) you will never go super viral, but that's not what pays the bills now is it?

If you provide enough value, people will know you, like you and trust you, which is exactly what you need before they press “buy”

2.Cold Outreach - Social media will attract you clients in the long-term, but if you want results NOW cold outreach is the way to go.

Anyone that has followed you, liked your post or commented is a potential client. So engage with them, see what their pain points and struggles are and offer genuine help.

Once you have got your first few, the snowball effect will take place (referrals, reputation, goodwill) and things will get a lot easier.

This is what it really boils down to and this is what it takes to take your online coaching business to the next level. And anyone that is promising you something with literally NO effort. Just ask yourself this: Do they care more about your sales or their own???
