I searched and searched for the ideal de-esser and could never find one with enough bands. A Dynamic EQ is the perfect solution in that you can have up to 6 bands or more, which is plenty for almost any situation.
In the video I'll show you how to use both the Waves F6 and Fabfilter Pro-Q3 dynamic EQs as a multiband compressor. The examples come from some dialog in one of my podcasts, but you can easily transfer the info to a vocal on a song.
