I usually advise people that when they release a song, to get a video of it on YouTube as SOON as possible. . .

. . . even if it's only a lyric or album artwork video.

That's a good strategy because you want to take advantage of YouTube's reach. . .

. . . but the problem comes when they never actually add a more professional music video later, and they lose the ability to REALLY gain a new audience.

That's where I usually get pushback about the cost of making a music video. . .

. . . but today you can do it yourself for FREE, and it can take less time than it takes you to mix a song.

My friend Luke first started making videos 12 years ago, and probably just like you. . .

. . . he didn’t know how to set camera settings, set up lights, or edit videos. . .

. . . so he over-complicated everything (even though the process is actually very simple). 

Now it takes him less than 4 hours to setup, shoot, and edit a music video with the simple step by step process he developed.
