Hi Friend,
Do you want to know the biggest difference between most songs and mixes that are sent to me and a hit song from almost any era?
It’s how the song develops from section to section!
Most songwriters that don’t yet understand modern production record their songs so that every section has the same mix elements and intensity all the way through.
It may be a good song but the production is boring. People turn it off before they get to the end.
Bit hits (the genre doesn’t matter) have new parts and sounds weaving in and out of each section, providing the ear candy that keeps you wanting to listen whether you know it or not.
It’s possible that you’re probably not even aware of some of these almost subliminal mix elements because you’re just not used to listening for them.
That will change when you’re a member of my Hit Makers Club though, as you’ll begin to hear all those production techniques that you might not have noticed before, and then apply them to your own productions.
That’s some of what you’ll get from each What Makes This Song A Hit session. You’ll get an X-ray view inside the latest worldwide hit, or a beloved hit from the past. You’ll have that “A Ha” moment where you’ll think, “I can use that trick here,” and suddenly your music will sound a lot better.
You also get a lot more from a Hit Makers Club membership, like:
