I don't know about you but sometimes I find that just having a good sounding snare with a little reverb on it isn't enough. I want the snare to jump out of the mix - to have that something extra that grabs your attention.

There are a lot of ways to do that, but this one is one of my favorites. It's trick that I picked up a while back that I use all the time.
