I trust all is well with you and the team. Hope you don’t mind but I’d like to float an idea I have around self assessment past you.

As you know these are due end January 2017. And you’ll also know business owners will be focused on generating revenue leading up to Christmas. Self assessment will be the last thing on their mind.

That said, I believe opportunity, outside the context of ‘client referrals’ is to engage business owners through a targeted online SME campaign reminding them now their self assessments will be due.

This does a few things. It’s a reminder they need to sort it, you start a dialogue with them and it places you in a great position to drum up some new business now and in future. The execution is simple, measurable and easy to deliver.
