   SIMPLE, DOWN AND DIRTY:
  GUIDED CHAOS COMBATIVES
  CLASSES at Premier Fitness
  EXCLUSIVELY IN NEW YORK

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO SURVIVE RIGHT NOW...
There are other World War II Combatives systems out there.  Some are authentic and some are watered-down MacDojo nonsense. The best of these derive from
the simple, effective and easy-to-learn techniques created for U.S. soldiers in World War II and used in jungle warfare in thousands of documented military and police conflicts. Practical and efficient, these methods were engineered to be taught to our troops in 8 hours prior to shipping out for combat.*

John Perkins has taken these methods and supercharged them with Guided Chaos' internal principles to give you even MORE power, balance and adaptability.

Classes in GUIDED CHAOS COMBATIVES provide battle-proven techniques, strikes and drills to give you one of the fastest, most condensed and easy-to-learn survival systems available anywhere.

GUIDED CHAOS: THE WHOLE SYSTEM

*The original Close Quarters Combat developed by Colonel Rex Applegate, William Donovan and members of the OSS was lethal all by itself (it was devised because of a perceived inadequacy in our troops' Hand to Hand training as compared to that of Japanese Soldiers schooled in Judo and Karate. This led to a training overhaul by our own military in the late 1930's that was used in countless close engagements against Japanese troops in World War II.)

 GOING BEYOND SENSITIVITY
 by Grandmaster Perkins
There is one thing that must be developed in GC that goes further than sensitivity and that is Feeling. This is where your connection to your opponent or practice partner goes far deeper than simply knowing which direction force is being applied or which way it will divert upon your own pressure or where a strike or other movement or action will end up.

Here is where there are levels of depth that one can go into while in a state of no-mind or mushin. You can begin this exercise and develop it into something that seems precognitive. This takes in all of your senses.

You must develop all 5 senses in conjunction with your inner mind or subconscious. There is nothing automatic about this training at first. It is slow, methodical, meticulous and can build into something which seems faster that thought. It allows the greatest trickery in the smallest movement. It will seem to your opponent that time has disappeared. The more in thought an opponent is the easier it will be to move between the cracks in his/her defense and dance around their offense. Remember that tiny fractions of seconds can make all the difference between success and failure.

As you move incrementally with a well developed training partner or at least one who is willing to work patiently with you you will go deep within yourself while making touch contact.

Now picture some form of warmth coming from deep inside your center which goes from inside your very being and moves out to and through your partner into what you perceive to be his/her center. Here you are developing an empathic connection. This is something that a good healer can do. They can feel
where the source of pain comes from in their patient.

Now while connecting in this state you feel your body move as if each fraction of an inch is a foot. Tune into your mind and actually "see" what thoughts or emotions are transpiring. Watch them with dispassion but "feel" where they are taking you without loosing connection to your partner. Be conscious of every nuance of facial and body expression of your partner. Let the internal descriptive dialog flow and watch it dispassionately.

Do not try to anticipate any move. Just allow all of the emotional and mental baggage to go by. Once this is accomplished you will find that the noise will finally disappear and all that is left is yourself but that "new" self will have connection with your opponent which now has become you.

This is a form of physical meditation which can later build to something more dynamic and for lack of a better word, Large.

The more inner control you have the more control you will have with any connected entity. This is not science fiction or psychobabble. It is something like Musashi referred to when he stated that you should feel a softness to your connection with the blade of your opponent. He used some different words but the concept is the same.

I believe that he along with the more highly developed warriors had developed this "feeling" to a high degree but does not give a step-by-step method of achieving this.

Once you get proficient with the basic level of this exercise you will find that speed, space and time disappear and all that is left is movement and liquid flow.

As some Japanese warriors might have described it, it would seem as smooth and delicate and real as a reflection on a still lake. This is also a description that I learned from a Mohawk warrior who's name actually means, "Face that is reflected in the water."

Your body or weapon can touch and you will "know" what will happen as it happens but will feel almost like déjà vu. Again this is not supernatural. It is just developing our senses and proper mindfulness to a different level or state. Some mystics live in this state. I only find myself there when it is necessary to do so for protection and for enjoyment.

When you develop this state of "Feeling" it can encompass larger areas and multiple opponents. You will find that you can step right into the most advantageous positions during dynamic conditions with multiple antagonists. The antagonists actually "feel" like they are part of you even without touching them.
