Just 40 days left to enter the 19th Annual Independent Publisher Book Awards (aka The IPPYs), the industry's most competitive and prestigious awards for independently published books. The awards are open to independent authors and publishers worldwide who produce books intended for an English-speaking audience, and we are now accepting entries for books released between January 1, 2013 and March 10, 2015.

Entry fee is $95 to enter a National category and another $55 if you choose to enter the Regional or E-Book contests. All entrants are considered for the Outstanding Books of the Year Awards at no extra charge.
Gone are the days when The New York Times Best Seller List provided readers all they needed to know about the best books to read. Many of the nation's top authors have opted out of restrictive publisher's contracts and have chosen to bring their work to market as independent publishers. More than 1.3 million books are being independently published each year, and savvy authors are realizing that in a fast-changing marketplace, independent publishing offers the flexibility required to succeed.
Launched in 1996, the Independent Publisher Book Awards are designed to bring increased recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers. Established as the first unaffiliated awards program (no membership fee required) open exclusively to independents, the "IPPYs" recognize hundreds of the year's best books, bringing them to the attention of booksellers, buyers, librarians, and book lovers. The IPPY Awards contest is among the largest and most recognized book awards events in the world, and all independent, university, small press, and self-publishers who produce books intended for the North American market are eligible to enter.
