AI can be an incredible tool.

We heard from Jenna at ADI25 this year as she gave us a detailed dive into AI options, and no doubt you use AI-based tools in your editing.

For May/June, our Premium members got a killer content drop in the community portal - tried and true "AI Prompts to Grow Your Business"!

Using my own business as an example, I showed how you can ask ChatGPT to:

  • suggest pricing for you based on market research,

  • tell you how to find clients in your area based on your target audience and personal preferences,

  • give you ideas and a plan of action to diversify your income streams based on your current business model and goals,

  • perform an SEO audit of your site and suggest what to change and why, and

  • provide you kick-in-the-butt with tough love business advice that includes a detailed plan of action.

O-M-G when I tell you that the responses shocked me, I'm not exaggerating. They were spot-on!

If you're a Premium member, log into the community portal and head to the Monthly Content section to find this PDF.

If you don't have access to this PDF but want to get some of these results for yourself, here are some tips to help you create a prompt for accuracy:

  • Set the foundation. Let it know about yourself, your business, and your goals. AI can tailor the replies to your business only when it knows more about your current situation. You can also give it your website or IG profile URL for reference.

  • Be clear on what you want. Are you asking for market research on pricing? Are you asking for suggested rates and rate structures? Are you asking for a game plan on how to execute something? Be clear on what you're looking for it to provide.

  • Follow up. Think of each thread as a conversation. So don't be afraid to follow up with questions, to ask for adjustments if something is not a good fit, or to ask it to help plan out the execution of what it's recommending for you. For example, it gave me a rate structure based on number of images, and I asked it to refine it to a time-based structure.

  • Don't overdo it. AI uses a lot of energy and therefore takes its toll on our planet. There's no need to say "Thank you" or give any sort of response because those will create AI use that's wasting energy for nothing. Ask your question, refine as needed, and then stop as soon as you get the information you're looking for. Our planet will thank you ❤️

BONUS:

The most jaw-dropping answer I got was from a prompt that I found and modified. Amy Porterfield shared a post for when you need a shift but don't see the blind spots.

I modified this to describe me, my business, and my current struggles... and the replies were insane!

Here's the IG post from Amy that gives the full prompt.
