We consider "food" to be complete diets (like a bag of kibble or freeze dried meals, as we already keep our margins as slim as possible for your foods). The discount can be used for treats, toys, supplements, leashes, bones and other chewies, etc. We have these sales to say thank you to our community for your support, and for choosing a locally owned, independent store!

February is National Pet Dental Health Month!

Here at Green Dog, we highly encourage giving your cats and dogs dental chews. Most cats love the SmallBatch chicken hearts for a daily chew. Some fierce feline chewers will even chew on the silvervine sticks! Our most recommended treats for our canine friends are the bison tibial tendons, bison pipes (trachea), bison scapulas, and bully sticks. If you have a small breed dog or a dog with missing teeth, our freeze-dried options will work best. They’re nice and soft so your dog’s teeth will sink in to get some good gum massage action. Recently, we have been recommending that customers use softer chews, rather than harder chews like bones and horns. More and more of our customers and employee pets have been experiencing dental damage from giving these harder chews too frequently. If your pet needs more mental stimulation, try some food puzzles or training games. We would love to help you find alternatives.

All of the chicken is humanely raised and made locally in Washington! They source their chickens from House of Raeford, check out their great welfare practices here. It's hard to find quality sourced jerky with no additives, and the fact that they are locally made is a bonus. We are SO excited to have them back on the shelf!!
