HERE'S HOPING THAT'S IT FOR SNOW!
Thanks for your patience with our closure!
The last thing a small business wants is to shut the doors to our customers, but you likely had similar problems! Mike and I couldn't get out of our hilly icy neighborhood, and we also didn't feel comfortable about asking our employees to risk it.
Walter says we can stay home and play in the snow anytime. He loved it!

| CHANGES IN MASK POLICIES!
We told you in a fall newsletter that we would consider loosening our mask requirements after the Holiday season was over (when traditionally people travel and celebrate together and then the number of cases spike). I myself got COVID (for the second time) in October after visiting my dad in Florida. I think it was the two hours getting jostled in the overly packed security area in Atlanta, or the fact that I was starving after hours in the airport, and took my mask off in the plane for a short time to eat and drink. I was one of the only people in the completely full plane with a mask. It has effected my brain power, especially language problems when I get stuck and can't find my words. Don't take COVID lightly!
ANYWAY,we're following through with our promise.
MASKS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED BUT THEY ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. Staff will still be masked, as we cannot easily afford to have staff out sick.
We realize that we do have customers who are immuno-compromised and who specifically shop with us due to our masking requirements. If you are one of those people and you are worried about this new policy, please call or email for help.
We've got you!

| NAIL TRIMS!!!
We are very excited to tell you that two of our our long time friends Patty and Sayde Kelly are offering "Fear Free" nail trims for dogs, cats, bunnies and pocket pets! Sayde and Patty have been in the pet industry for over 25 years. They owned their own business called Doodlebug Duds Making pet products at Portland Saturday market (many of you still have dogs sporting their lovely jackets). Since then, they have been working with a local animal rescue for ten years, and they now have started their own nonprofit animal rescue called "Rainbow Heart Rescue!" Their mission is to help animals with emergent needs.
They are calling the nail trim service "Kelly's tips to toes",and all proceeds will be used to support their rescue. Sayde also works as a veterinary technician at a clinic and has gone through Fear Free certification. This means that they will be patient and kind with all the animals that come and get their nails trimmed. If your pet is very anxious they will do their best to reassure them. Nail trims are open to dogs, cats, bunnies and pocket pets. All proceeds will go to support Rainbow Heart Rescue. We have two Sundays available so far: March 12th from 2:30-4:30pm, and March 26th from 2:30 - 4:30. It's first come, first serve! Nail trims are $15, and Dremel Trims are $25. They prefer cash but they will also take credit and Venmo. They will have treats, but you're welcome to bring your favorites! We're excited to be able to provide this service again at Green Dog! |

It used to be in tubs, but now RAWR has switched to bags of small patties. This change results in a much more easily portioned diet! A single patty is also are useful for being able to be thawed enough to cut it into small pieces and slipping them into canned foods to start the transition to raw foods. |
