Subject: Winter Solstice - The Return of The Light

Merry Christmas!
Hi Friend,

The Sun entered Capricorn at 04:47am GMT December 22nd, marking the astrological point of the winter solstice and the beginning of this year's Capricorn Season.

People all around the world are celebrating this time of year for many reasons - and it is indeed a very special and sacred time.

The winter solstice marks the point when the Sun once again appears to 'stand still'  (the other point being the summer solstice). It is the shortest day of the year (and the longest night) and was celebrated in ancient times as the festival of 'the return of the light'.

We can think of that as a metaphor on many, many levels... as more and more people wake up to the truth of their own nature as spiritual beings we shall indeed see a 'return of the light' as part of the evolution of human consciousness.

There is much to contemplate at this time of year. It is the perfect time to go within and meditate on your own inner light that is always burning even through these long, dark nights.

May you have a joyful, happy, Christmas (or whatever festival of light you personally choose to celebrate) and may 2016 bring you much inner peace, joy, and prosperity.

with very best wishes,

Ruth
