| Life's Greatest Adventure!

On Sunday the Sun entered Libra marking the beginning of this year's Libra Season and the Spring or Autumn Equinox (depending upon which of the Earth's hemisphere's you live in). The Equinox is the time of year where the days and nights are of equal length and the sign of Libra, symbolized by the scales, is associated with balance, harmony, justice, ethics and the law. Esoterically Libra is associated with the Law of Harmonics and the whole of Nature is governed by harmonics. Perfect balance. Ecosystems depend upon it.
Taking the twelve Zodiac signs as symbolic of developmental stages on our Soul's journey, after the Soul has found love in Virgo, Libra now realizes the power of choice. It is often said that Librans can be indecisive (unless they are accessing the decisive energy of their opposite sign Aries of course!) but this isn't necessarily a fault. For Libra is more concerned with the process of decision-making rather than the outcome itself.
How do we know what the right decision is? It is the one that will bring most harmony, for that will be in alignment with Nature and in accord with the Universal Law of Harmonics. It is, after all, how Nature makes decisions!
Watch plants grow. 'Decisions' appear to be made, based on harmony. Plants seem to 'choose' to grow towards the light for example. OK we could say they aren't choosing in the human sense of the word and that's true. There is no choice when the most obvious harmonious path is clearly visible.
There are some important clues to the deeper spiritual significance of Libra in the keynote for Libra (from Esoteric Astrology):
"I choose the way which leads
between the two great lines of force"
In understanding the significance of Libra, it is important to remember Libra is a cardinal sign, and cardinal signs are about pioneering new ways of being in the world. Libra is also an air sign, and air signs are about Mastery of the Mind. So isn't it interesting that following the stage of love and vocation in Virgo, our Soul now enters a cardinal sign of the mind? Libra invites us to start making choices on a moment to moment basis to ensure we are aligning with the highest of who we are becoming and, in so doing, we will lead humanity to the next stage in the evolution of human consciousness.

Wisdom alone can accept and intuitively realize the unlimited, the timeless and the infinite, by renouncing explanations and by recognizing the mystery, which can only be felt, experienced, and finally realized in life - and which can never be defined."

Libra is a sign of higher mind. The 'decisions' that align with the highest Universal Law of harmonics do not come from rational intellectual thought but are intuitive in nature, like the 'decisions' of plants! We are already attuned to the Natural Law of Harmonics and when we listen intuitively we sense the most harmonious way forward.
