Subject: Are You A Winner?

To win is to achieve what you set out to do...
it will have a defined time limit such as "To make the Olympic team in 2020"
If you don't make the team in 2020 then you lose at that time but as a winner you reset your goal with greater purpose for the 2024 Olympics.
Most of us will not have Olympic ambitions but there will be things we do set our hearts on.
It may be to make a certain person our spouse or to provide for our family so they can live a good life.
Second place is not winning it is losing, but as long as we continue to strive for what we set out to do losing is not fatal.
I want you all to now make a pledge to yourselves to be winners.
What is a pledge?
Pledge: a solemn promise or undertaking
It is not something to take lightly and once taken should be upheld at all costs.
Unfortunately, some people do not understand the meaning and importance of making a pledge, and by breaking a pledge you let down only yourself.
It often sets a precedent for future failure and as a winner you can not allow that to happen to you.
So if you have ever made a pledge, not taken it seriously and reneged on it; now make another pledge to never again allow yourself the disservice of not keeping a promise, no matter what.
There is always a second chance, but never lose sight of what your original intention was and always keep that as sacred.
Things may not happen in the time frame you had planned but as long as they remain your focus and you continue to work towards them you will become a winner.
God bless,
Graham
p.s. His pledge was to never give up..."I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." ~ Michael Jordan
