Rigaku is pleased to announce a new webinar next week on the XtaLAB Mini II, a breakthrough bench top single crystal X-ray diffractometer. The Rigaku XtaLAB mini II is an easy-to-use and affordable system that represents the perfect addition to any synthetic chemistry laboratory as well as being a fantastic tool for teaching students about molecular structure. Many owners of the XtaLAB mini II find it a great vehicle for giving undergraduate researchers the ability to co-author a refereed scientific paper, a useful addition to anyone’s resume. Thanks to a small footprint and light weight (200 lb), it fits on a desk or a table, and requires virtually no maintenance. To demonstrate it, we will perform a live analysis of an organic crystal of cytidine, using the Rigaku program CrysAlis Pro for screening and data collection/processing and Olex2 software for structure solution and refinement. All steps will be covered, from crystal centering on the goniometer to running CheckCif on the final model and preparing necessary files for IUCr submission. Please join us to learn about the benefits of using the Rigaku XtaLAB mini II and to see the live analysis. We hope to see you there! |
