Welcome

In this month's newsletter we discuss how to get new content or update content on the global Rigaku website. You'll be provided steps to make a request as well as see some examples of custom landing pages we've made in the past that might help spark ideas for your marketing campaigns in the future. We also discuss the benefits of interactivity in other non-web documents such as flyers. Adding call-to-action (CTA) buttons or links to videos helps increase value in your PDF document.

How to Get Content on the Global Website

When making requests for additions or edits, or to create new content on the Rigaku website (such as a new product release), you should start by sending an email request to rdpi@rigaku.com. This will open a ticket and track all the subsequent communication about this task, including any associated assets like images and/or PDF files.

Creating Custom Landing Pages

If you need a custom landing page you may contact CMD directly or make a request on the Contact Us page on POLARiS. There you can enter in the required information along with any imagery you can provide and click submit to create a project ticket.

Make Your Documents Interactive: Benefits

Need a PDF flyer made to showcase features of your product? No problem. But instead of producing a printable PDF, why not dazzle your customers with multimedia PDFs that are interactive and engaging? Adding call-to-action (CTA) buttons draws your customers' attention, encouraging them to contact you for more information or click links to gain further information on the product.

Meet the Team

Bev VINCENT

Director of Digital Services


My primary responsibility within CMD is the creation and maintenance of content and infrastructure for the Global Rigaku Website, something I have been doing for around a quarter of a century, starting with the original Molecular Structure Corporation website. In addition to adding or modifying product pages, I regularly add press releases, webinar announcements, conference listings, Rigaku Journal issues, application notes, newsletters, job postings, banners and customer training sessions.

 

My team (which includes Alex Stanley, Amanda Cochran and Morgan Smith), in collaboration with the Creative Services Team of CMD, develops event-specific microsites for events like the Rigaku School for Practical Crystallography and RESE’s XRD Forum, supporting a variety of Rigaku business units. I also work with colleagues at RC on the Japanese version of the Global Website.

Meet the Team

Morgan SMITH

UX/UI Designer and Developer


I started my career with Rigaku as a vendor that helped develop the POLARiS site and in February 2021 became a full time employee, and still am responsible for updates to the POLARiS site.


I am also responsible for the coding, design and layout of the global websites. I take into consideration the user experience and function when developing a site as there is a certain level of both graphic design and computer programming necessary. I collaborate with the Creative Services Team of CMD to make our site designs as interactive, attractive and intuitive to use as possible.

Marketing Resources

POLARiS RDS (Rigaku Design System) provides design principals and guidelines for Rigaku product branding and marketing material worldwide. This tool is to improve the design and development workflow for product marketing materials.
