Welcome

In this month's newsletter we discuss how to set up your Zoom webinar. Webinars, when done right, can keep your audience engaged for hours. They have the ability to let your audience ask questions as well as provide real-time feedback and training. We hope the CMD guidelines help provide structure in creating your webinar setup, as well as inspire you to get more engagement from your target audience. You can raise engagement of your webinar using social media. This month we also showcase the presentation template available to use for video presentations on social media, as well as guidelines for taking a great professional headshot for social media using your own smartphone.

Posting a Video Presentation to Social Media

There is a new PowerPoint template available on POLARiS that is well suited for making video presentations. There are more creative options available on this PowerPoint template than the standard corporate PowerPoint. Videos are powerful tools to use on social media and stats show social media posts with video have 48 percent more views than posts without videos. To get this new template you can click on the button below or simply go to polaris.rigaku.com then go to Social Media tab on the left menu, then the Multimedia tab and scroll to the bottom of the page where it says Video. If you need to discuss ideas further with a member of our team feel free to reach out to CMD@rigaku.com.

How to Take a Good Headshot for Social Media

You only get one first impression, and today that first impression is more often on social media than face-to-face. In this digital world, more professional looking headshots are what business cards used to be: necessary. Your professional headshot should be representative of who you are and what your personality is about. CMD has created a guideline for what your professional photos should look like, as well as easy steps for taking your own headshots with a smartphone.

The Inside Scoop

How much do you engage in social media?

  • Often. I like to share and post as much as I can.

  • Seldom. It's hard to find the time.

  • Rarely. I have a profile but I mostly browse the feeds and don't interact much.
