About Dr. Elmar Hartman:

Dr. Elmar Hartmann received his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich in 1992. He conducted postdoctoral research on the electrical transport properties of single molecules attached to Au particles at Lund University, Sweden. He habilitated in 2000, specializing in the fabrication and characterization of nanostructures using metallic nanoparticles with scanning tunneling microscopy and atomic force microscopy.

His expertise in scanning probe microscopy gained industry recognition and fostered strong relationships with industrial suppliers. Dr. Hartmann also excelled in ellipsometry and grazing X-ray reflectometry, demonstrating a deep understanding of atomic scale phenomena.

He currently serves as Sales Manager at Rigaku Europe SE, specializing in X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence and X-ray topography. In addition, Dr. Hartmann is a lecturer in the Micro- & Nanotechnology Masters Program at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany.
