Girls On Tour
Secret Women's Business
Spring 2022
Hi Friend and welcome to our Spring 2022 edition of
"Secret Women's Business".

It sure has been a busy and eventful year both for GOT and the world.  So far we've flown over Antarctica, been out west in Queensland, up north to the Northern Territory, over to WA to The Kimberley and on Friday embark on our last trip for the year to the northern-most tip of Australia, Cape York.  Adding to that a 4 day reccy to Carnarvon Gorge, it's no wonder I needed new boots!

We have some awesome Aussie experiences planned in 2023 as well as dusting off our passports and yes, heading to the international airport, I'm excited!

Some of our tours are already open for bookings and listed on our website and others will be live on our website soon such as "Charms of Croatia", "Adelaide , Kangaroo Island and Murray River", "Egyptian Discovery", "Norfolk Island Escape" and for past travellers, our "GOT Reunion @ Sea" onboard Carnival Luminosa.

Thanks for your support over the past 2 years which have been challenging to say the least.  I am truly grateful.

Stay safe and remember, if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.

Happy travels, Judy.
Top End 2022
What a wonderful time we had exploring The Red Centre and The Top End.  From the Uluru sunrise and sunset to the gorges and waterfalls, it was an amazing adventure.  We learned a little more about country and culture, the wetlands and the seasons and were invited to enter Arnhem Land if only for a short while.  Beautiful rugged landscapes, ancient rock art and crystal clear swimming holes are only a small part of the attraction of The Northern Territory and I'm sure we'll return.  You'll never, never know if you never, never go.
"Charms of Croatia"
One of my favourite countries in the world, Croatia is on our list of countries to visit in 2023 as the world re-opens.

The crystal clear waters of The Adriatic and the natural beauty of Croatia's lakes and rivers will leave you spellbound.

Departing 22nd October, 2023 for 21 days with stays in Zagreb, Opatija, Trogir (one of my favourite cities in the world), Metković and Dubrovnik, you will explore the history, art, culture and nature of Crotia.  Walking tours in several of the cities give you an insight into the local history and gastronomy as well as the ancient history from the Romans to Napoleon.  We'll explore stunning Dalmatian cities including Split with it's UNESCO World Heritage Listed Diocletian Palace and so much more.

With only 3 one night stays included, with multiple nights in the others, this will be a wonderfully paced tour but will be jam packed with history, art, architecture, food, wine and friendship.

Click below to request details as there are now only 2 places left!

"Cape York 2023"
If you have always had Cape York on your 'bucket list', now is the time to do it.  Cape York Peninsula is the largest unspoiled wilderness in Northern Australia and one of the last remaining wilderness areas on earth.  Follow in the steps of the early explorers on an epic adventure through natural wilderness to the northern most tip of Australia that features un-spoilt beauty.  Visit remote savannah and rainforest clad National Parks, capturing amazing wildlife, cultural experiences, characters and adventure.

We will be travelling in a purpose built Isuzu off road 4WD tour vehicle with reclining seats, footrests, retractable seatbelts, panoramic windows, road cam and on-board toilet.  With a maximum of 22 in our group, you will have the ultimate opportunity to enjoy Cape York at its best as well as chilling out and exploring tropical Cairns including Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail.  Be a part of this unique small group tour and send your expression of interest now to request details as they are released.  Departing 1st September, 2023 for 12 days.

Our 2022 trip sold out in 36 hours so don't miss out if this incredible part of Australia is on your bucket list!

"The Kimberley 2023"
Always a favourite, we're excited to announce our 2023 Kimberley Adventure departure date which is 17th July, 2023 for 16 days.  After a 2 year wait it was amazing to be back in WA and in The Kimberley.  Another group of adventurous ladies joined in and embraced this rugged and remote part of Australia and all it has to offer and we had a ball.

SOLD OUT!

"Egyptian Discovery"
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love Egypt.  It was one of the first places I visited internationally, was the destination for our first ever GOT tour and it is one of my most visited countries having now been there 5 times.

If Egypt is on your list of places to see and experience then join us on this magical trip.  Keep an eye out for details as they're released and/or send your EOI to be in the first round of ladies to see what's in store.

We'll visit many of the places you've read about and heard about but NOTHING can prepare you for the enormity of Egypt.  Included on the itinerary will be Cairo, Alexandria, El Alamein, Luxor, Dendara, Nile Cruise, Aswan, Giza and of course Abu Simbel.

This tour departs 1st March, 2023 for 16 days.  Bookings are now open so if you'd like more information please click on the box below.

THE WORLD IS SLOWLY RE-OPENING
Today the Government of Canada announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022.
Japan will open its doors back up to foreign tourists, after more than two years of closed borders due to the Covid pandemic. Tourists will be able to visit the country without a visa, and will no longer need to go through a travel agency, from 11 October.
"GOT Reunion @ Sea 2023"
As a past (or soon to be traveller) of Girls On Tour, you will soon receive an email inviting you to join me, Judy and Lynne Blair from Suncity Travel, along with other GOT travellers for our  "2023 Girls On Tour Reunion @ Sea" on-board Carnival Cruises "Luminosa".  You will enjoy 4 days of fun, fun, fun on the high seas.

Cruising from Brisbane on 19th March, 2023 to Airlie Beach and back to Brisbane arriving 23rd March, with no passport required!  Unpack once and unwind and enjoy.

We had lots of ladies book for our 2021 cruise that was cancelled due to 'you know what' but this time it should be all systems go!

"Carnival Luminosa™" is new to the Carnival fleet!  Guests setting sail on Carnival Luminosa can expect hospitality and fun that's pure, unmistakable Carnival, with so many fan-favorite onboard features like the flavors of Alchemy Bar®, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse™ and RedFrog® Rum Bar; the entertainment of Playlist Productions™, Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner™ Comedy Club; plus the relaxation of Cloud 9 Spa™ and Serenity™. And when you’re indoors, you can still expect great views and lots of natural light — the ship was built with plenty of windows.

Do as much or as little as you like, it's your choice! There will be theme nights and we will organise a cocktail party or suchlike on one of the nights where there isn't already a theme night planned for our group to come together as one. Closer to departure I'll contact all those who are booked to see if anyone would like to purchase a pink GOT polo to wear on embarkation and throughout the reunion.

Both Lynne and I are avid cruisers and are booked to travel on this ship in December for the first time.  We look forward to catching up with you March as we sail on the deep blue sea with fun loving ladies like you and relive our amazing Girls On Tour adventures so far.  Keep an eye out for the email which will give you costings and details on how to book to be part of the action.  You can also register your interest by clicking on the button below but remember you must have either travelled with or be booked to travel with GOT to be part of the reunion.

The Golden Bridge, Vietnam
The Golden Bridge is a 150-metre-long (490 ft) pedestrian bridge in the Bà Nà Hills resort, near Da Nang, Vietnam. It is designed to connect the cable car station with the gardens (avoiding a steep incline) and to provide a scenic overlook and tourist attraction. The bridge loops nearly back around to itself, and has two giant hands, constructed of fibreglass and wire mesh, designed to appear like stone hands that support the structure.  It opened in June 2018.

I've visited Vietnam several times but not since 2018 and this is something I'd love to see, how about you?  Would you love to visit Vietnam and this magnificent structure in the future?

Product review - Nudicover
Whilst on tour in NT, I noticed that one of my travellers, Helen had one of these lightweight hoodies and I was curious about it so when I saw them at our Outdoor Expo last weekend I had to buy one and I'm looking forward to testing it out on the Cape York trip.

You can wear it wet or dry – day or evening or for sun or bugs.  Ultra-Lightweight Nudicover Mesh* is easy to pack and travel. Stylish Sun Protection and cool comfort for golf, swimming, outdoor sport, swimming, kayaking, gardening, walking, travel or spending time out in the hot weather.

Nudicover Mesh* provides up to 70% UVA & UVB sun protection depending on skin type, climate and temperature.  Check them out at https://nudicover.com/product/hoodie/  They also have a range of other items but this is the one I was interested in.  I don't get any commission or kick back, just happy to share what I think will be a great travel item.
Girls On Tour is a proud sponsor of Maroochy River Golf Club's Pinktober tournament raising funds for The Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation again in 2022.
