Diffusing Essential Oils at Home and at Work!
Lots of people use essential oils to relieve allergies and asthma, and diffusing essential oils is a great way to do it! But even if you don’t have breathing troubles or any medical conditions that essential oils may soothe—you don’t need an excuse to diffuse amazing smells and enjoy the benefits of essential oils’ aromatherapy.

Diffusing essential oils into the air in your home is simple: use a diffuser with purified water and 1 or 2 drops of a favorite essential oil. Breathe in the vapors and allow the oils to relax your soul.

Use cold diffusers and remember that heating oils can damage the smells. Ultrasonic and atomizing diffusers are two alternative options for diffusing essential oils effectively—do some research and understand the best option for you.

If you are at work, you may not be able to enjoy diffused essential oils, but here are some simple work arounds for that:
  1. Open the bottle and fan the aromas toward your face, but don’t inhale from the bottle directly. This way you will breathe in relief while limiting the lingering smells that may bother co-workers. 
  2.  Put a drop or two onto the palm of your hand and breathe in small “doses” throughout the day.
  3. Fill a bathroom or kitchen sink with some water and place a drop or two in the basin. Lean over the sink and breathe in the vapor for a minute or so (a bowl of cool water in front of a fan works well, too).
Diffusing essential oils helps to relax and to soothe, especially if you are having a stressful day at work. 
Take a few minutes to enjoy the calming aromatherapy of essential oils away from home!
