Her expertise includes wellness solutions, onsite clinic integration, disease and utilization management, and improved management of carriers and PBMs.
Her career journey has seen her in various leadership positions, including CEO of Innovative Therapy Services, Regional Director of Rehab at Stryker Corporation, and President of Innovative Medical Management. Mary has also served as the Director of Employee Health Management for American Health Network, overseeing a large physician practice spanning multiple states.
David Jones, M.D., Chief Medical Officer, Anthem
As medical director at Anthem, Dr. Jones serves as the lead clinician for the Georgia plan, including being responsible for the administration of medical services and ensuring the appropriate and most cost-effective medical care is provided. He will also drive Anthem’s cost of care strategies and other core initiatives to support the mission or provide quality, affordable healthcare for all members. Dr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Duke University and a medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia.
Angela Ripper, AVP, Managing Counsel, UNUM
In 2000, Angela helped build the Leave Management Center, a unit within Unum Group that administers FMLA and state leave laws for employers. She advises HR daily on decisions ranging from initial hires to disciplinary actions to termination. She works with HR on Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, Immigration, OSHA as well as strategic matters. She also advises on Reductions in Force, reviews contracts and advises HR and the Absence Management Center on the FMLA.
Ms. Ripper has worked for Unum Group for 29 years. In 2000, she helped build the Leave Management Center, now known as the Absence Operations, a unit within Unum Group that administers FMLA and state leave laws for employers/customers which now covers over 3 million lives. She continues to provide legal support for the Absence Management Center and has done so since its inception. Ms. Ripper speaks at seminars nationally on FMLA and ADA and is featured annually by DMEC with a representative from DOL to speak on FMLA.
Emily Davis, Vice President, First Stop Health
Emily previously served as the Director of Sales at Vitality Group, as Health & Welfare Consultant with Duke Energy, and similarly as a Senior Wellness Analyst for Lowe’s prior to that. Under these Total Rewards teams, Emily specifically strived to deploy innovative strategies to engage employees and promote wellbeing in the workplace by designing and deploying benefit programs in medical, pharmacy, condition care, wellness, financial, and overall employee experience. She built relationships with key stakeholders, insurance companies and other service providers to develop and maintain the capability to meet associate needs for productivity.
Kevin Gregory, Vice President Business Solutions AEC Rx
Kevin possesses over 25 years of employee benefits experience and extensive pharmacy benefits experience. He managed one of the largest pharmacy coalitions in the industry. Kevin also helped build the largest non-Medicare group purchased medical program in the industry. Innovative and action oriented, he launched the first ever commercial social determinants of health (SDoH) outreach program to mitigate health risk for self-funded benefit plan sponsors using social risk factors and has used psychographic segmentation to achieve target engagement rates of plan members. Kevin is highly skilled at leveraging data to create positive outcomes for benefit plan sponsors.
