GARDEN GREETINGS, FRIEND! 

We love this flower quote, for we have certainly felt the presence of the divine in the garden and nature.

So — as you will have gathered — today’s share here is focused on this most enchanting theme of flowers.

FLOWERS… FLOWERS… FLOWERS!!!

From flowers that bloom in Fall and Winter flowers, to the abundance of flowers on our dwarf Meyer lemon tree, to flower quotes and memes to enjoy and share… we’re all a-bloom in gratitude for these wondrous creations.

POLLINATING MEYER LEMON TREE BLOSSOMS

So the last couple years our Meyer lemon tree has not produced well, so we donned our Sherlock Holmes cap to try to solve the mystery. This year one of the two is FULL with wonderfully aromatic flowers, AND we’re doing something we didn’t do previously: hand pollinate with a little paintbrush or cosmetic brush, (Q-Tips also work if you don’t have a brush but we like the brush best).

In the process of reaching for its version of perfection, the rose serves to delight and pollinate, to heal and feed, all the while doing what it’s here to do: Grow into all that it can be. 

A flower doesn’t worry about trying to attract the pollinators or trying to be the prettiest and best. Rather, it attracts them and the delight of humans by simply being all that it can be where it is with what it has. And THAT is perfection!
