If you have not heard, a young man, who was a Junior at the High School, tragically died this last weekend.  He committed suicide.  How tragic it is that anyone would think that life is so hard that they cannot stand the thought of living in this world anymore.  How sad it is that they do not realize or comprehend that there are people in this community that are so willing and ready to help them.  No matter what the circumstances are behind this, it is not for us to judge.  We are called upon to offer grace.

I have spoken with a member of the family and the funeral home and this family does not have the means to bury their own son.  They are in need of $4,000 to be able to have the service.  I am asking you to pray about this and if  you are able to help please email me by tomorrow morning letting me know how much you are able to give.  The families desire is to be able to have this service on Saturday so the school kids can come to the service.

If we receive more than we need, I would like to use the extra money to bring in a counselor and offer group grief counseling to the kids.  The funeral home has told me that the parents and kids are calling them asking for help and looking for answers.  We need them to know the church is here to love and support them.

If you are interested in helping and how much so we can make sure we have enough funds.  You can make out your check to the church and put in the plate on Sunday or mail it in.  The church will write one check to the funeral home.  Again, please let me know as soon as possible so the family can move forward with their plans.
