FRESH New London
Dear Friends,

Happy Spring?

As we start working on this newsletter, there is still alot of snow on the ground.

By the time we send the email out, will it be crocus time?

We have started thousands of seeds in flats in the greenhouse at Williams and Mercer and in the heated greenhouse at Winthrop Elementary. Tiny shoots are starting to poke through the cool loam.

Those tiny shoots are now guiding and shaping alot of our work. So much is happening because and around them. They'll be what we sell at our plant sales, plant in our gardens throughout New London, share with our community partners and give to brand new gardeners who go through our workshop series.

Our Junior Staff and the Youth Crew that they'll help us recruit are providing another facet of our focus right now. We welcome them on staff in a few weeks and the calendar starts to fill up with their work.

And then there is our work with adults, which right now is focused on completing the Five Year Plan for Urban Agriculture.

We'll be reaching back out soon with a April and May calendar chock full of workdays, our plant sales and lots of opportunities to SPRING INTO ACTION.

Until Then,

Let's Get Growing,
The FRESH Staff
