Mid-Season Gardening: 
A Hands On, How To Workshop at 
            McDonald Park Community Garden
Join us for this introduction to mid-season gardening techniques: How to prune tomatoes, structure your plots, water and mulch to retain moisture as it gets hotter out. 

Master Gardeners and FRESH volunteers Liz Spurr and Tim Grimes will run this workshop and provide participants with helpful literature to take home. This will be a hands on learning experience. Bring your questions. 

This workshop will be held at the McDonald Park Community Garden (Connecticut Avenue and McDonald Street, New London). 

On site childcare provided. 
A $5 donation requested (no one turned away for lack of funds)

Look for the FRESH Farmstand at the Field of Greens Farmer's Market starting Friday, July 7th from 3-6pm in Williams Park (Broad Street at Williams Street)! 

We will join a stellar line up of local farms and providers, including Smith's Acres, Cold Spring Farm, Whittle's Willow Spring Farm, Whepitituck Farm, Sun Stone - Lady Fern Farm, Collins Farm, Terra Firma Farm, Soeltl Farm, and Emmerts Aquaponics. 

There will be music, cooking demonstrations and fun for the whole family. Hope to see you there. The Farmer's Market accepts credit cards, cash, EBT and Farmer's Market vouchers!
