FRESH New London
Dear Friends,

As we bid good-bye to the hazy (but not lazy!) days of summer, we're reminded once again of how quickly time passes. Our summer youth program has come to an end and the gardens are so quiet without all our young people's laughter. We ended the program with making seed bombs, screen printing, and a trip to the beach.

The last few Dream Markets are upon us. This week we'll be hosting a Back To School Bash, with a school supply giveaway and a clothing swap. Next week, in honor of 9/11, our theme will be Peace, and we'll have a craftsperson actually making farming tools out of old weapons. The following week will be Latinx heritage/culture, and then...one last Market and it's over for the year! Just like that!

This week, kids are heading back to school, fall crops and cover crops are going into the ground, and the leaves are JUST starting to turn. Like everyone else, we are hoping that the end of COVID is is near, though we will continue to take precautions - wearing masks, washing hands, socially distancing, and staying home at the first sign of illness. We are thankful that we have so many delicious organic vegetables and herbs growing in our gardens right now, and that we are able to share them with our community, nourishing all our bodies with the very best foods we can. The tomatoes have loved our recent hot weather, and we have been harvesting a ton!

Community support is what keeps us going- both physically and emotionally. If you want to get your hands in the dirt and help out before the season is over, we'd love to have you! Scroll down to see the schedule, and please come out - the more the merrier!

Sending you all wishes for peace, and health, and happy times.

Love,
Davana
