For 20 years, the FRESH Scholarship has bridged the financial gap for youth participants to help them in their quest to build toward a better future. These young people have given so much to FRESH that we wanted to take this time to give back to them. The scholarship is administered through the Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut (CFECT).

Urban Agriculture is a critical component of obtaining local food security.  FRESH's advocacy work is focused on culturally relevant crops that are locally grown.  Food Forward: Urban Agriculture Across America is a half-hour, character-driven survey of urban farming across the country. The pilot episode for a 13-part series greenlit for PBS starting 2012, we meet the food rebels who are growing food right where we live--in cities.
GROW FOOD. EMPOWER YOUTH. BUILD COMMUNITY.

FRESH New London is a small but mighty food justice non-profit. Our mission is to build momentum for food system change through local agriculture, community partnerships, and youth leadership training, in order to dismantle systemic oppression and ensure everyone has access to food with dignity.
