Most of you already know that I consider Book Reviews to be MEGA important because it can make the difference between sales or no sales. Even if you are offering your book for FREE many potential readers won't download unless they see some reviews.
When I tell my customers this and encourage them to ask their friends or do a half-dozen other things I OFTEN get back replies to the effect of ...
"I have NO friends." or "I'm too embarrassed to have my Mom read this." AND I also get back statements of total frustration.
I understand. LOL MY Mom trashed my first book. I spent over two years writing it. Traveled across North American taking thousands of photos and spent over $10K publishing it. This was before Amazon existed, before anyone thought to sell books over the Internet.
So when someone tells me they can't show their book to their mom, believe me, I really understand!
Some of the other challenges with getting reviews are the amount of chasing your have to do to get them AND the amount of time it takes. Many of the book bloggers can take six months or more. Even when you "buy" reviews you can wait months for them to appear.
So when I read about Pubby I jumped into action and gave it a test run.
