Subject: Stop trying to sell and you’ll make more sales.

“I just made 2 sales from that last post”

“That’s awesome! But you gotta stop trying to sell on LinkedIn”

- I said not wanting to crush his happiness.

“You have 17,000+ followers, you used to have major traction on your posts…”

“…but you’re losing your audience’s attention and trust…”

“…for what? 2 Sales?”

- I tried to explain.

(I built a system for him that generated 60+ leads in 7 days and is now selling on autopilot)

People don’t want to be sold to on social media.

There’s a time and a place for everything, and one of the most important things to consider in marketing and sales is the prospect’s state of mind.

Think about the last time you scrolled through LinkedIn, or IG, or any other social media…

Maybe 5 minutes ago…

Your thumb’s sliding through the screen.

You start reading a post… “boring”.

Scroll speed increases…

A picture catches your eye. It jumps to the first line…

Scrolling slows to a halt.

“Interesting… oh… good one.”

You tap the like button.

Next.

Your thumb immediately pushes the feed downwards to see what comes next…

“Only this week, 50% discount…”

You don’t even read the rest of it.

But that post you just skipped was from one of your favorite creators.

If this happens a few times, the algorithm will stop showing you their posts.

That’s how you lose an audience!

So what should you do?

  1. Continue giving that audience what they want to see on the platform.

  2. Build something that’ll help them in their journey and is aligned with your main offer.

  3. Give it away for free in exchange for their email contact.

  4. Keep helping as much as you can with longer form content (such as this).

  5. Create special offers for your email subscribers. Make sure they feel valued.

In line with those special offers…

I like to help a few of my email subscribers whenever I can.

This week, I’ll give away 5 consultancy calls, specially for you.

If you’d like to know how a system that drives automated leads and sales would work for your business, click here to book a call.

I can’t do more than 5 of these, so don’t delay.

Talk soon!

Best,

Fran

P.S.: We’ll also be talking about these results and the strategies behind them, in another audio event on LinkedIn this Friday (12th April), 10am GMT+1.

The most interesting aspect of these events is interacting with everyone who shows up.
