As this year comes to a close, we reflect on the families whose lives have been transformed through Family Promise of Butler County. Because of supporters like you, parents and children experiencing homelessness are met with safety, guidance, and a path toward lasting stability.
Recently, we heard from Anna (name changed for privacy), one of our program graduates. Anna is a devoted mother of two teenage boys who found herself facing homelessness after years of deteriorating living conditions. What began as a home that felt steady and familiar slowly became unsafe, marked by persistent leaks, mold, and major repairs, all left unanswered by her landlord. As the situation worsened and her marriage became emotionally harmful, Anna struggled to keep her family afloat. When she was ultimately evicted, and local shelters were full, she feared she had run out of options.
Through a series of community connections, Anna found her way to Family Promise of Butler County. Here, she and her sons received not only shelter but the encouragement, consistency, and caring network they needed to regain their footing. Anna shares that without this support, her family might still be without a place to call home. In fact, she had this to say about the impact her time with us made on her family-
