Subject: 🗝️🚪 Open Doors of Hope for Families in Butler County 🚪🗝️

Please consider us as you make that final charitable donation of 2023

Dear Friends of Family Promise of Butler County,

As the leaves fall and the seasons change, we at Family Promise of Butler County are also seeing changes, and as this change of season brings a new mindset and focus, the same is true for us. The fall also reminds us all to be grateful for the many blessings in our lives; while the winter brings us emotionally and physically together as we gather indoors to celebrate the holidays and enjoy the coziness of our homes.

This all serves as a very real reminder to us as well, of the children and families right here in Butler County that do not have the “luxury” of a warm place to gather and celebrate. FPBC’s mission of ensuring all kids in Butler County have a place to call home continues to remain the staff and Board of Directors' foremost focus. This mission would NOT be possible without YOU and we do not take that for granted.

Each year in Butler County, over 1,200 children experience homelessness with their families. In 2023, with your help, we were able to help provide shelter, meals, and services to 32 families, including 42 adults and 77 children, in addition to 10 families who received assistance through our United Way grant.

Recently we had a family come through Family Promise of Butler County whose head of household had an 11th-grade education with $65 dollars in the bank. After spending 30 days in our program, she was equipped with a list of resources throughout the county and worked with our Shelter Manager to define a budget that would work for her family. Our congregations loved her and her family well through hosting, feeding, and even providing gas cards. While still here, she found a new job in the culinary industry where she received two promotions in two months. Now she makes $12 more per hour than her former job at a drive-thru, is working on getting her HiSET, housing her family in a small apartment and saving for a better vehicle. Because of the budgeting skills obtained while at FPBC, she is saving almost 40% of her take-home pay to better the life for her and her family. Thank you to all who played a part in changing the story of this family. Because of her time with FPBC, and the great love she was shown by our host congregations, she is a living success story.

The need here in Butler County has never been greater for FPBC services and the demand is only increasing during these uncertain times. Whether you donated to, volunteered at, advocated for or attended a FPBC event, you HAVE made an impact in the lives of these Butler County families and we are so grateful to you!

As the year comes to an end, and you consider the many options you have for that last donation of 2023, we hope you will consider Family Promise of Butler County and help us provide local children with a home for the holidays and beyond. Monetary gifts may be sent by check to PO Box 95, Hamilton, OH 45011, you can donate online by clicking the button below, or you can text opendoorshope23 to 76278.

Once again, THANK YOU! Together we can continue the efforts to eradicate family homelessness right here in our community because every child truly does deserve a place to call home.

Sincerely,

The Staff & Board of Directors of Family Promise of Butler County
