Kamar is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She gained a sense of responsibility and purpose to help others at an early age, leading her to commit to over 25 years of serving in the nonprofit sector. She has extensive experience providing leadership, serving at the Executive level in organizations for child and family services, homelessness, transitional housing, and economic development programming. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Wilberforce University; thereafter, she moved to Illinois where she attended Roosevelt University and earned her Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Kamar is most proud of being the mother of two young adult children, Camryn and Kalynn. For fun times, Kamar enjoys family gatherings, attending cultural festivals, and traveling. After residing in Illinois for over two decades, she is elated to have relocated back home in support of her parents.
Kamar is looking forward to joining the Family Promise of Butler County team and utilizing her extensive skill set to introduce innovative strategies and support the team’s continued excellence in providing quality services to our community.
Libby Willms, our Board President had this to add, “Kamar brings a wealth of non-profit experience that will serve our families and organization well. She is a confident leader and I look forward to her taking FPBC into its next chapter and beyond.”
When you have an opportunity to meet Kamar, please join us in giving her a warm welcome.
All the best, The Board and Staff of Family Promise of Butler County |
