He held his certificate with pride. I held my phone like I was filming the next Oscar-winning documentary on quilting excellence.
Except... I forgot to actually flip the camera.
Instead of capturing Dennis’s proud moment?
I got what I can only describe as a full-speed rollercoaster ride through the fabric aisle.
I’m talking motion blur, dramatic tilts, a flash of my shoe, and a dizzying view of bolt after bolt of fabric.
You’d think I was filming a high-speed quilt chase scene. 🤦♀️
All I needed was some dramatic music and popcorn.
By the time I realized what happened, Dennis had already put the certificate away, smiled, and gone back to work like the quiet hero he is. Meanwhile, I stood there holding a video that looked like my phone had been possessed by a caffeinated raccoon.
So, no viral Reel moment for us.
But here’s what did happen:
🎉 Dennis is now officially Baby Lock certified!
He can now service all sewing machines—except Bernina—with care, confidence, and that calm, quiet magic he brings to every thread issue.
If your machine’s been skipping stitches, chewing thread, or just needs a little tune-up love, Dennis is your guy. Even if my phone doesn’t think so.
I’ll try again next week—with the camera actually facing the right way.
Until then, happy stitching and may your bobbins be full and your videos face the correct direction.
Warmly (and slightly motion sick),
Donna
