Two of our attendees have owned their machines for a couple of years but came determined to tackle one very familiar foe: row misalignment and the dreaded gaposis. (You know the one — those sneaky little spaces between rows that seem to appear out of nowhere.)
Trust me, I’ve been there too. Back in my early Pro-Stitcher days, I had gaps of varying sizes — and my solution? A little gaposis camouflage! 😂 A swirl here, a loop there, maybe some creative echoing, and voilà — “design choice.”
We also had one brand-new machine owner and her quilting buddy in for their free training that comes with their purchase (smart move!), plus another student who came just to see if she’d like quilting on a longarm. Spoiler alert: she does — and she’s already planning to rent time with us!
By the end of the retreat, everyone was confidently advancing their quilts without the gaposis gremlins. Every row lined up beautifully — no guessing, no panic, no camouflage needed. 🙌
✨ Tuesday Takeaway: If your Pro-Stitcher rows don’t quite meet in the middle, it’s not you — it’s your method. Once you understand how to align and advance your quilt with precision, those rows lock together like a dream.
We’d love to help you find that “ohhhh… now I get it!” moment too. Here’s what’s coming up soon: |
