Donna is already tech certified, so she is really there for the eye candy and to see if there is any new and exciting going on.✨

SHOP: Handi Quilter on the Move!

Monday, we caught something fun on video: one of the iconic Handi Quilter vans that travels the country, bringing six Amara 20 machines at a time to quilt shops like ours for events and classes. 🚐✨

Handi Quilter has a whole fleet of these vans, but most of them were out on the road delivering quilting magic across the U.S. when we visited.

Take a peek behind the scenes in this week’s video as we walk around the van — it’s like a traveling quilt show on wheels!

And don’t forget — you don’t have to wait for a van to visit to get in on the action

We have Handi Quilter machines in our shop ready for you to try, plus upcoming Longarm Academy and Pro-Stitcher Academy retreats designed to take your quilting skills to the next level.

LEARN: Let’s Hoop It! – Embroidery Fun You’ll Love

In our embroidery technique of the month class in October, we’re making a cozy embroidered sweatshirt featuring a fall design from OESD that’s as fun to stitch out as it is to wear.

Here’s what you’ll need to bring:

A neutral-colored sweatshirt (think cream, gray, or beige — perfect for showing off your design!)

Your 9.5" x 14" embroidery hoop and embroidery machine

Donna will guide you step-by-step, so whether you’re new to embroidery or a seasoned pro, you’ll leave with a project you’re proud of and new skills to keep you stitching with confidence.

While Kim and Donna are at Handi Quilter headquarters in Utah this week, they couldn’t resist taking you along for a behind-the-scenes tour of the factory where these incredible machines are built.

From the first bolt being tightened to the final test stitch, every Handi Quilter machine is crafted with care and precision right here in the U.S.A.

It’s amazing to see the process that brings these longarms to life — and even more exciting knowing that the same machines will soon be in YOUR quilting space, ready to create magic.

It’s been such an exciting week here at Fox Country Quilts — from learning new tech skills at Handi Quilter HQ, to sharing fun classes like Let’s Hoop It!, and giving you a peek behind the seams with our videos.
