Subject: Beef Part 2...We know who the problem is NOT...

That statement is grammatically incorrect...
Hey Food Slayer!

We know who the problem is NOT..and yes, that is grammatically incorrect. I know..

Let me back up for a moment.

There are a lot of headlines these days talking about how beef and the meat industry are responsible for climate change. Like, a lot of headlines. Forbes published an article a few months ago urging "influencers" to "steer public discourse on the climate impact of animal agriculture" and spread the word that people should become vegetarians and stop eating meat.

This really got my goat.

Truth is, beef is NOT the problem when it comes to "climate change". Small farmers and ranchers are NOT the problem. You wanna know who the problem is...it's the four GIANT global corporations that control 86% of the meat processing industry and the 450,000 CAFO's where these animals are raised.

Thanks for being here...let's keep the conversation going so we can all have clean, healthy food on our plates!
Yeah...that's who's the problem.

But it seems like no one wants to say it. I realize there are billions of dollars at steak! (I know...it should be stake:) but I gotta have a little fun with this, otherwise I might lose it!)

And let me add, because it bears repeating....

There is an agenda to get us all to become vegetarians and eat lab grown meat. I know that might sound cray-cray...but when you look at what is happening in totality...

- Beef prices are rising and being "fixed" by the big four
- Land is being snatched up by billionaires
- The same billionaires are investing heavily in lab meat startups
- The public is being led to believe that ALL livestock farmers are contributing to our environmental crisis
- These operations harm animals and they should be held accountable
- And the media is twisting the facts to support their agenda

Call me crazy if you want to...I don't give a flock. But anyone with a "bird" brain can figure out what's happening here. (Don't take that personally...it just really pisses me off when the facts get muddied by what seems like an emotional plea to control personal choice....)

There is plenty of scientific evidence to support the facts that animals raised on pasture make better, healthier products for our consumption, their manure and grazing (if managed responsibly) sequesters carbon and builds soil, and these animals are overall healthier and happier. They are (and should continue to be) an integral part of our lives and cycle of wellbeing. This has been the case since the beginning of animal agriculture - back when Native peoples were pasturing Bison across the Western American ranges for the benefit of year-round food, companionship and healthy environmental ecosystems.

It has only become problematic since animal agriculture got co-opted by government and corporate control. #Facts

Remember...this is chess...not checkers.

So, with that...I will go and get started on the day. There's lots to do...animals to feed and pasture (while I still can), and I need get my daily fix!

Speaking of coffee...that's next week's topic. We're going to dig into the ONE addiction billions of us share - EVERYDAY!

Besides, I probably need to step away from meat for a few weeks and chill...

Well, thanks for listening to this week's episode and sharing it with someone you love! Until next time, remember to eat clean, liberate yourself and dig deeper into your food supply chain. Chow!
