Please take our survey HERE! If you are interested in participating in the planning meeting, you can indicate that on the survey and will receive info about the meeting on Thursday, February 10th at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held simultaneously both in-person and also via Zoom.

Rotating Our Board Members

We give our heartfelt thanks to three folks leaving our Board of Directors and a warm welcome to the two new persons joining!

Leaving our board, but not our hearts, are Pete Cooper (Benthic Monitoring Committee Chair), Carolyn Ford (FriendsFest Chair), and Tom Shapcott (E.coli Monitoring Chair). Thank you for your years of service to FOMR, our River and our community.

Bringing their talents with them and joining in on the fun are Nancy Stevenson and Todd Holt, pictured above. Welcome to the party!

December's E. coli Report

The lower Middle River stretch of the river we are monitoring continues to look amazingly healthy with respect to E. coli! We have been accustomed to seeing E. coli levels in the 1000's in the Upper Middle River and Christians Creek. These lower counts for this section mean that the fecal contamination in this stretch is low, which in turn means that the runoff from our pastures along the river is low--runoff of fertilizers, pesticides and other bad stuff. So, this is all great news for our wonderful river!
