For those of you who are new to FriendsFest, this is FOMR’s yearly barbecue to celebrate the Middle River, our stewardship efforts, volunteers and Sponsors. During this IN-PERSON picnic, we will draw the winning raffle tickets. Two lucky people will leave with a grand prize of either a new kayak, or a stand-up inflatable paddle board; there are many more raffle prizes and gifts to be drawn. We will share our new and evolving activities for the coming year.
This year with Covid-19 precautions, we are doing things a little differently than in past Fests. We ask you to bring your own picnic side dishes—just for yourself or your group-- and drinks, plates, utensils to supplement the BBQ, buns, and slaw FOMR is providing.
We will kick off the event with the Gear Swap at 4pm, followed by the meal, then the raffle ticket winners. We’ll finish by dusk.
FriendsFest will be held outdoors at Shirley and Stuart Webster’s beautiful riverfront property, as we have done in the past: 111 Mill Race Road, Verona.
Please arrive in a party mood by car or boat if you like. Kids are always welcome, but please leave the dogs at home.
