Subject: New RAP Booklet, One Change

RAP Authorized Users:

We have a small but significant change to the River Access Program to make you aware of and therefore we are issuing an updated booklet Version 7/30/21.

New booklet here:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1n4PmnCZSEs788woyuV_KrbBMb47lgTh5/view?usp=sharing (please do not share this link with others, this is not a public program)

We are not adding or deleting any new access sites in this new issue, only one change to permissions around the dam from one of the landowners at the Middle River Dam.

This is not a RAP put-in or take-out site, but you may now portage on the left side of the dam at mile marker 16.2 as you approach from upstream without having to contact the landowner. She requests that you just get out, portage around the dam and be on your way. Please do not stop to eat, don’t fish in this area, don’t hang around. Just keep going.

This small change makes it easier (and safer) for you to plan a paddle trip on this section of the river.

Now, let's have you all do a rain dance and get us some water back in the river!

Cheers-

the RAP Team
