ACP UPDATE

There is a new proposed route for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline through Bath County and the Deerfield Valley.

To learn more about the devastating impact this pipeline will have, and how to join the campaign against it, please visit the Augusta County Alliance website.

Thomas Hadwin's paper,
"The ACP in a Nutshell" is a must read in helping to understand the dollars and sense of this pipeline.

Just in case you have not had enough, the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) just published a report showing that the Mountain Valley and Atlantic Coast Pipelines pose a serious risk to ratepayers, communities, and investors.  Here's the report, please read it:

Join us for River Walk at the Farm on Sunday, June 12th, at 3:00 PM

In celebration of Chesapeake Bay Awareness Week (June 4-12), Jeanne & Bobby Whitescarver are your hosts for this walk along their riparian buffer on Middle River in Swoope. 

Enjoy the rich diversity of plants and birds there. 

FOMR will score the quality of the River by doing an assessment of the aquatic insects living under rocks in the River.

Time to start preparations for
"Discover Middle River" Week
August 14-21

During that week, we want you to:
  Float sections of Middle River
 Help with our annual Cleanup
  Join our Photography Contest
 Come to Friends Fest Barbecue Picnic
