Season's Greetings from FOMR


Thanks to our many volunteers, FOMR helped people safely experience the comfort and healing power of

Middle River this year.


In 2020, Friends of the Middle River:


  • Linked people to our local, restorative water venue - Middle River - where they could paddle and relax safely outdoors.

  • Facilitated successful socially-distanced float trips on Middle River.

  • Organized 53 volunteers to remove 1.74 tons of trash and 79 tires from 11 miles of Middle River and Lewis Creek.

  • Completed our 10th year of Benthic Monitoring and began our 6th year of E. coli Monitoring.

In 2021, we look forward to:
 
 Launching our new website!  We made good use of our pandemic downtime in 2020 to re-design the website.  We hope you will like it.
 
 Resuming more of our in-person gatherings after vaccine rollouts make it safe to gather together again. Until then, we will continue to offer safe, socially-distanced access to the River via float trips and our River Access Program.

During this holiday season, be safe and wear

a mask - we're all in this together, and we'll get

through it together.
