The Friends of the Middle River announces the presentation of a $1000 community grant award to the Fort Defiance High School Envirothon team for their film:
“The Middle
Child Syndrome,
Featuring the Middle River”
These high school
students entered their film into FOMR’s film contest focusing
on the reasons why a clean watershed is important to our community.
The check will be presented to the students during the Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Staunton on Sunday evening, April 22. Then, the film showing is free and open to the public on Monday, April 23 at 5:30 pm at the Fort Defiance High School Auditorium. All are invited to watch this film about our river and celebrate these young river stewards.
