trips are on Middle River, except the End of Summer/End of the River float
which includes parts of North River, South River and the South Fork of the
Shenandoah River.
Bring
your own boat. Life vest required.

More Float Trip Options
In addition to the 5 FOMR organized monthly float trips,
member Roger Robinson will periodically offer short-notice float trips which he
calls “Spontaneous Floats.” Anyone who wants to can join him. Roger will lead
the trip, secure landowner access permissions and help coordinate the shuttling of vehicles to the takeout. These floats are announced on our FaceBook page usually 1-3 days in advance of the trip.
These spontaneous paddling trips are free, are NOT
covered by FOMR insurance, are NOT FOMR events, but ARE just as fun!
