Subject: 🥵 Major Change to River Access Program 🥵

Loss of Access

Sadly, we inform you that effective immediately we have removed the Verona Access site at mile marker 29.5 at Route 11 and Bald Rock Rd. from our program. The property has been sold, which terminates our lease. If arrangements can ever be made for use again in the future with the new landowner, we will inform you.

Please do not use 29.5 at the Verona Bridge for any reason.

We are well aware that this was a much-loved and easy-to-use site. Luckily, we are happy to remind you that there is a good alternative site recently added to the program at mile marker 29.3 downstream of Verona.

We encourage you to download and print the new booklet at the button below and recycle old booklets so you do not use an out-of-date one. To help you always know which version of the booklet is current, we will start posting to our website the name of the latest version of the RAP booklet so you can always check that you are using the correct version. Though you cannot download the booklet from the FOMR website (the booklet is not available to the public) you can see the current version in use and compare that to what you have in-hand at: https://www.friendsofthemiddleriver.org/the-river-access-program-rap

It is entirely possible that yet another revised RAP booklet will come out this season. We are in active discussion with a couple of other landowners considering our program. As always, if you know landowners who might be willing to join, let us know!

Thank you, everyone, for making this program work by keeping our participating landowners happy.
